Mission statement for sustainable and responsible corporate governance

At our hotel, we recognise that a strong corporate culture is critical to our success. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and improving our environmental performance in every aspect of our operations, and to providing our employees with the knowledge and tools they need to make environmentally conscious decisions in their daily work.

To ensure our employees are aware of and up to date with the latest sustainable practices, we will provide training and resources and regularly review our sustainability efforts.

We will strive to use recycled and/or renewable materials in all areas of our operations, from purchasing products to construction and renovation projects. We will also ensure that our suppliers adhere to similar sustainability standards. We will strive to reduce our energy and water consumption and look for opportunities to increase efficiency.

We will seek out and promote local businesses as partners that are committed to sustainability and have a positive impact on their surroundings. We have already taken the first step in this direction by taking on a one-year apple tree partnership for two apple varieties on the farm of Henning Fick in Hamburg-Finkenwerder as part of the Finkenwerder Apple Blossom 2023. With this partnership, we are consciously and sustainably strengthening a producer from the region and creating transparency of our products used. In addition, we will also promote and plan sustainable tourism, thus actively encouraging our guests to participate in sustainable activities.

Finally, we will strive to be a leader in sustainability in the hospitality industry. We will lead by example and work to ensure that our sustainability efforts are successful and lasting.
